There is nothing quite like living with a piece that was made by hand, one of a kind, chosen because it speaks to you. Here is a simple guide to help you buy original art in South Africa with confidence.

Buy what you love

The most important rule is the simplest one: choose a piece you genuinely love. Trends come and go, but a painting you connect with will bring you pleasure for years. Notice which works make you pause, and trust that feeling.

Think about where it will live

Before you buy, picture where the painting will hang. Consider the size of the wall, the light in the room and the colours already around it.
