About the Artist
Art has been a lifelong passion for Riesa Maree, woven into her journey from an early age. Her craft was shaped through formal training with renowned artist Pieter Millard at Hartbeespoort Dam in the North West, where she developed her skills and artistic voice over several years.
In 2014 she relocated to Hermanus on the Whale Coast, continuing her exploration under celebrated artist Jeandré Mariners. Her work is inspired by the beauty of nature, with a deep love for painting seascapes and floral compositions.
Riesa paints from a place of personal reflection and emotional resonance, letting each canvas become a unique expression of her inner world. Her art captures the essence of the South African landscape, and the heartfelt inspiration behind every brushstroke.
